God has entrusted His followers to carry the message of Christ to the world and invite them into the reality that God longs to be Immanuel, God with us, to those that are far from him.

We live in a world where people are looking for transformation instead of information, and love rather than exclusivity. Hospitality and neighborly love has the potential to spread the gospel one relationship at a time.

There are a few things we can do in life that invites God’s immediate attention, favor and blessing. This talk will focus on a neglected invitation for God to do all three of the above. That invitation is fasting. Fasting is one of the most powerful yet often neglected exercises of faith. In this talk you will be convinced of it’s power and draw to try it, if you dare!

Often fasting results in better health and weight loss. It also has the power to help throw off the things that our weighing us down in our relationship with God and others. Sin weighs our lives down and can even destroy them but fasting helps us not only realize this but break free from anything that would weigh us down or tie us up.
